Description
The Texan Series 16 Inch Reversible Single Door (Item No. TEX-16SD) is an access door for sink or side burner locations, cleanup zones and serving zones. It gives easy access to gas lines running to the grill and to storage inside the island.
The door measures 16-1/4" W x 20-1/2" H x 1-3/4" D and needs a cut-out of 14-1/2" W x 19" H. It is reversible: rotate it 180 degrees for a left or right swing. It opens up to 120 degrees, which keeps the door panel from dinging the island's exterior finish.
The frame and paneling are 304 stainless steel, with a 304 stainless steel rod handle. The even-toned No. 4 horizontal light brushed finish and large stainless steel rod handles sit well next to most other brands of grills and components. Texan Series components are built by Sunstone Metal Products LLC, a Texas company.

Customer reviews

This 16-inch single door from the Texan Series is exactly what I needed for my outdoor kitchen setup. It fits perfectly next to my sink, and I love that it's reversible – made installation a breeze to get the swing just right. The quality feels really solid, typical Sunstone craftsmanship.
I'm really impressed with this door. The reversible feature is a huge plus, letting me adapt it to my existing island without any fuss. It's sturdy and looks fantastic, blending seamlessly with the other Sunstone components I have. Definitely recommend for anyone building out their outdoor space.
Got this TEX-16SD door for my new outdoor kitchen project, and it's a winner. The stainless steel feels durable, and the reversible design meant I didn't have to stress about left or right swing. It installed quickly and looks sharp – exactly what you'd expect from Sunstone.
The Texan Series 16-inch door is a good, solid product for the price. It works well next to my side burner and the reversible aspect was handy during installation. My only minor complaint is that the handle feels a little less substantial than some of their higher-end lines, but it's still perfectly functional.
This single door does the job for my outdoor kitchen, providing access under my counter. The 16-inch size is good, and it is reversible which is a nice feature. However, for $186, I expected the finish to be a bit more polished and less prone to fingerprints. It's okay, but not stellar.
