Description
The Signature Series 27" x 20" Beveled Frame Horizontal Access Door (Reversible) (BA-DH2027) is a solid, non-vented horizontal door for reaching storage or utility lines inside your outdoor kitchen island. It replaces the previous item number BA-DH1724.
It measures 27" W x 20" H x 3" D and fits a 25" W x 18" H cut-out. The frame is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel and the door panel is 18 gauge 304 stainless steel, in a No. 4 light brushed finish with a beveled frame that matches the rest of the Signature Series. It ships with the Signature Series Beveled Handle (zinc alloy, chrome plated).
To change the swing, rotate the door 180 degrees for left or right opening. It opens 120 degrees on built-in hinge pins, so no hinges show on the face, and magnets at the top and bottom hold it closed. The frame holes are pre-drilled, and the depth from the face to the frame mounting hole is 1-3/4". See our warranty page for coverage.

Customer reviews
About our reviews: they come from verified direct customers and from our authorized dealer network, including Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon and other Sunstone dealers.
This Sunstone access door is exactly what my outdoor kitchen needed. The 16 gauge 304 stainless steel feels incredibly solid, and the beveled frame gives it a really clean, finished look. Installation was a breeze, and now I have easy access to my propane tank and storage.
Wow, this door is heavy duty! You can tell it's built to last with that thick stainless steel. I love that it's reversible too, which made planning my island layout much simpler. Definitely worth the investment for a quality outdoor kitchen.
The quality of this access door is top-notch, as expected from Sunstone. The stainless steel is beautiful and it feels very robust. My only minor complaint is that the magnetic closure could be a little stronger, but it still holds securely.
I'm a contractor, and I've installed a lot of outdoor kitchen components. This Sunstone door is well-made and the installation was straightforward. The horizontal design is practical for under-counter storage, and the finish is excellent.
This reversible access door really elevated the look of my DIY BBQ island. The 304 stainless steel means I don't have to worry about it rusting out in the weather. It functions smoothly and provides good access to my utilities.
