Josh's review
Josh Falcon reviewed the StarBBQ Rocket Stove on The Falcon Eats, and his verdict is in the title: the ammo can stove that actually cooks.

What the stove is
The StarBBQ Rocket Stove Camper Box (STARBBQ-RSBBOX) is built inside a military-grade M2A1 .50 cal ammo can made of cold-rolled steel, with an airtight gasket that keeps water and dust out when it rides in a truck bed. It folds out with a collapsible chimney and folding legs and sets up in under 60 seconds.

It burns biomass you find on site, twigs and sticks, and it is rated for heat over 1,100°F. The lid turns into a 15½" x 11½" steel side table for prep.
Where it fits
- Camping, overlanding and hunting trips where you do not want to carry gas.
- Boiling water, coffee and pan cooking next to a fire pit.
- A backup burner in the shed for nights the power is out.
At home, the rocket stove pairs well with a full outdoor kitchen. Cook the main event on a grill like the 30" Sunstone hybrid and keep the rocket stove for trips and side jobs. See the rest of the portable camper stoves for more StarBBQ gear.
