Description
The StarBBQ Diamond Grid Grilling Grate Insert (STARBBQ-EXGRATE) is a campfire grill grate for steaks, burgers and vegetables over charcoal or wood. The expanded metal diamond grid lets air and heat through evenly, leaves classic grill marks and picks up the wood-fired flavor.
It is powder-coated cold-rolled steel and weighs 6 lbs. Two bar handles let you lift and rotate the grate, or carry it straight from the fire to the table.
It fits StarBBQ 24" bases: the STARBBQ-24CHBS Charcoal Grill Base, the STARBBQ-24FPBS Smokeless Fire Pit Base and the STARBBQ-24BSRIM BBQ Base Rim. It is also light enough to take camping or to a picnic and use by itself over a campfire or fire pit.

Customer reviews
About our reviews: they come from verified direct customers and from our authorized dealer network, including Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon and other Sunstone dealers.
This StarBBQ diamond grid grate is super sturdy, way better than those flimsy ones you usually find. We used it on our last camping trip for burgers and hot dogs, and the handles made it really easy to move on and off the fire without burning myself. It definitely held up to the heat and weight.
I'm impressed with the heavy-duty construction of this grilling grate. The diamond grid pattern is great for getting those perfect sear marks. My only minor complaint is that it's a little heavier than I expected, which can be a bit cumbersome when packing for a hike, but it speaks to its durability.
We've been looking for a good grate for our backyard fire pit, and this StarBBQ insert is just the ticket. The quality of the metal is excellent, and the handles are a huge plus for safety. It cleans up pretty easily too after a good cookout.
I used this grate for some steaks over an open flame, and I was really happy with how evenly it cooked everything. The diamond grid design seems to help with heat distribution, and nothing fell through, which is always a win. It feels like it will last for years.
This heavy-duty grate from Sunstone is exactly what I needed for my outdoor cooking setup. The handles are a game-changer for adjusting it over the coals, and the overall build quality inspires confidence. It's a solid upgrade from my old, warped grate.
