Description
The Sunstone 42" Grill Wall Panel with Smoke Deflector (SUN-42BSSD) mounts behind a built-in grill or side burner and acts as a heat barrier for the wall, cabinets and upper structures. The angled top edge directs smoke and grease up and away from them.
It is made of 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance outdoors and measures 42" W x 1-1/8" D x 37-1/2" H. It weighs 20 lbs and mounts with pre-drilled holes and the included hardware.
You can mount it on the wall in the usual way, or flip it upside down along the countertop as an edge that keeps debris from falling behind the grill. It works with gas grills, hybrid charcoal grills and infrared burners on outdoor kitchen islands and patios, and it keeps grease splatter and smoke off nearby surfaces.

Customer reviews
About our reviews: they come from verified direct customers and from our authorized dealer network, including Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon and other Sunstone dealers.
This 42-inch wall panel from Sunstone is a great addition to my outdoor kitchen setup. The 304 stainless steel feels really sturdy and I can already tell it's going to hold up well to the elements. Installation was pretty straightforward, and it definitely helps keep the heat off the back wall.
I picked up this Sunstone grill wall panel for my new built-in grill. The heat protection is excellent, exactly what I needed to protect my siding. My only minor complaint is that the smoke deflector could be a little more pronounced for my particular grill, but it still does a decent job.
The 42-inch stainless steel panel does exactly what it's supposed to do – protect the wall behind my grill. The quality of the 304 stainless is evident. I just feel like the price point is a little high for what is essentially a piece of metal, even if it is premium.
As a contractor, I always recommend a good quality heat barrier for outdoor kitchens, and this Sunstone panel fits the bill perfectly. The 42-inch size is versatile for many grill setups, and the smoke deflector is a nice touch for keeping things clean. It's a solid, professional-grade product.
Wow, this 42-inch Sunstone grill wall panel totally completed my outdoor cooking space! The 304 stainless steel looks fantastic and the smoke deflector really works to keep my stone backsplash from getting stained. It was super easy to install and feels incredibly durable. Highly recommend for any serious outdoor chef!
