Description
The StarBBQ 48" Smokeless Fire Pit Insert (STARBBQ-48SFPR) is sized for large outdoor spaces. It gives hotter, clearer flames with little visible smoke, and its raised base lets primary airflow reach the fire for better combustion.
It measures 55-1/2" diameter x 11-1/4" H, needs a 50" diameter x 13" H cut-out and weighs about 65 lbs. The insert is cold-rolled steel with a high-temperature powder-coat finish. It drops into standard stacked-stone fire pits or retaining wall blocks, and the 4-piece flat pack assembles in under 10 minutes without special tools.
It burns charcoal or wood, and you can add Post-Mount Swivel Grillers later if you want to cook over the fire. See our warranty page for coverage.

Customer reviews
About our reviews: they come from verified direct customers and from our authorized dealer network, including Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon and other Sunstone dealers.
This 48-inch smokeless fire pit insert is a game-changer for our backyard. We used to get smoked out every time we had a fire, but now it's just pure enjoyment. The large size is perfect for entertaining, and the build quality feels super solid, like it'll last forever.
The StarBBQ 48" insert definitely delivers on the smokeless promise, which is fantastic. It fits well into our custom fire pit, though getting it perfectly level took a little more fiddling than I expected. Once it's in, though, the clean burn is worth the effort.
Seriously, this 48-inch smokeless insert from Sunstone is incredible. We host a lot of outdoor gatherings, and not having to dodge smoke all night is a huge win. It throws off a great amount of heat, and the flame looks beautiful and consistent.
This 48" smokeless insert works exactly as advertised, providing a much cleaner fire pit experience. It's a robust piece of equipment and I appreciate the quality. My only slight hesitation is the price tag, but for the performance, it's a solid investment.
We finally got this StarBBQ 48" smokeless insert installed, and wow, what a difference! No more constantly moving chairs to avoid smoke, just a beautiful, warm fire. It's the centerpiece of our outdoor living space now, and everyone loves it.
