Description
The Sunstone Grill Thermocouple (item P-Tcouple34) is a replacement safety part for the IR back burner on 28" and 34" Sunstone gas grills, and it is listed for 3, 4 and 5 burner grills. It senses the flame, which helps prevent gas leaks.
It is 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance, 53" long and weighs about 1/2 lb. It works with natural gas or propane and installs as a straightforward replacement. See our warranty page for coverage.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 48 hours after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
If you received an item that appears to have been damaged in-transit, call us immediately at 888-934-9449 or 512-487-5116, preferably while the driver is still there.
Inspect all freight before signing the driver's receipt. If damage is found, do not reject the shipment, note the damage on the receipt and contact us. For concealed damage, a claim must be filed within 48 hours of delivery.
FedEx and UPS claims are usually resolved within 14 business days. Freight shipper claims may take up to 120 calendar days.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
Items cannot have been installed or used. Customer is responsible for all return freight charges, unless the error is on our part. All returned goods must be in new condition and in original cartons, well packed.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

My old thermocouple bit the dust, and this P-Tcouple was a perfect fit for my 4-burner Sunstone grill. The 53-inch length was just right, no stretching or extra slack. Installation was straightforward, and now my grill fires up reliably every time. Great to have it working safely again!
Needed a replacement for my 28-inch Sunstone gas grill, and this thermocouple did the trick. It feels well-made, and the connection points were identical to the original. My burners are staying lit without any issues now, which is exactly what I needed for my weekend cookouts.
For the price, this thermocouple is a solid buy. It fit my 5-burner Sunstone grill perfectly, and the 53-inch length gave me plenty of room to route it properly. No more frustrating relights, the flame sensor is doing its job. Happy with the purchase.
The thermocouple works, and it did get my 3-burner grill back in working order. However, getting the nut tightened in place was a bit of a tight squeeze, even with the 53-inch length. It's functional, but the installation could have been smoother.
My 34-inch Sunstone grill was having trouble staying lit, and after some troubleshooting, I figured it was the thermocouple. This replacement was exactly what I needed. It's a direct fit, and now my grill is running like new, holding a consistent flame. Very satisfied!
