Description
The Ruby Cooking Grates with 15" Round Inset (Ruby-CIRGR5B-4pc) are a set of four 304 stainless steel grates for the 42" Ruby 5B grill. The grate bars are 5/8" thick for heat retention and even cooking.
The 15" round inset gives you a place for indirect heat grilling and round accessories. The set weighs about 12 lbs and covers the full cooking area. The grates resist rust and corrosion, food is less likely to stick, and they drop straight into the grill for replacement. For natural gas or propane models. See our warranty page for coverage.

Customer reviews
About our reviews: they come from verified direct customers and from our authorized dealer network, including Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon and other Sunstone dealers.
Wow, what an upgrade! These 5/8" 304 SS grates for my 42" Ruby grill are an absolute game-changer. The heat retention is incredible, and I'm getting perfect sear marks every time on steaks and burgers. Cleaning is a breeze too, definitely worth the investment.
These grates are solid, no doubt about the 304 stainless steel quality. They fit my 42" 5B grill perfectly, and the 15" round inset is a nice touch for a wok or searing pan. However, at this price point, I expected a little more innovation or perhaps a slightly heavier gauge steel. They do the job well, but it's a significant chunk of change.
I'm a serious BBQ enthusiast, and these Sunstone grates are simply the best. The 5/8" solid stainless steel is incredibly durable and holds heat like a dream, giving me professional-level results. My old grates don't even compare; this set truly elevates my Ruby grill experience.
These Ruby-CIRGR5B grates are a definite improvement over the stock ones. The 304 SS feels robust, and the 15" round inset is super convenient for my cast iron skillet. Installation was straightforward, and they fit my 42" 5B grill perfectly. I'm happy with the performance, though the price is a bit steep.
The quality of the 304 stainless steel is evident, and they feel very sturdy. They fit my 42" 5B grill as advertised, and the round inset is a useful feature. While they perform well, I didn't experience a dramatic improvement over my previous heavy-duty grates to justify the premium cost entirely. They're good, but not revolutionary.
